JACK LUCAS RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS AWARD AT THE AMERICAN POLITICAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATION

Congratulations to Dr. Jack Lucas who has won the prestigious Clarence Stone Scholar Award from the Urban and Local Politics section of the American Political Science Association (APSA).

Named after Clarence Stone, a leading urban political scientist and author of the agenda-setting 1989 book, Regime Politics, this award recognizes up to two young scholars who are making a significant contribution to the study of urban politics. Along with Domingo Morel of Rutgers University, Dr. Lucas received the award at the 2017 APSA Annual Meeting in San Francisco, August 31-September 3, 2017.

Dr. Jack Lucas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Calgary. His first book, Fields of Authority: Special Purpose Governance in Ontario, 1815–2015, was published with the University of Toronto Press in 2016.
