After careful consideration of the many good nominations, the Awards Committee is very pleased to announce the winners of the Department's 2013-14 essay and thesis competition:

BEST HONOURS THESIS:  Kyle Schutz, The Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness: Public Policy Failure or Victim of Unforeseen Consequences?

BEST UNDERGRADUATE COURSE PAPER: Graham Rapson, Plato's Republic and Hegel's Subjectivity.

BEST GRADUATE COURSE PAPER: Sean Fleming, Extending the Spatial Analogy: Hyper-Spatial Modeling of Party Competition.

BEST MASTER'S THESIS: Elsa Piersig, No Confidence in Non-Confidence Votes: Would the New Zealand Confidence Protocol or Constructive Non-Confidence Restore the Canadian Confidence Convention?

BEST DOCTORAL DISSERTATION: Dave Snow, Failure to Reproduce: Assisted Reproductive Technology Policy in Canada.
