Susan Franceschet

Susan Franceschet joined the Department in 2006. Her research focuses on women's political representation in legislatures and cabinets, gender quotas in comparative perspective, and gender and public policy. Her most recent book is Cabinets, Ministers, and Gender, coauthored with Claire Annesley and Karen Beckwith, published by Oxford University Press.Her current research project "The Motherhood Dilemma in Parliamentary Politics" is funded by a SSHRC Insight Grant. 

Dr. Franceschet is willing to supervise students working in the areas of gender, politics, and public policy; women's political representation in legislatures and cabinets; and gender and Latin American politics.
