An International Experience

Political Science is by its nature international. The Department offers students an excellent international experience.

Washington Centre – Alberta Internship Program

The Washington Centre Program offers students the opportunity to earn credits while studying and working in Washington, DC. The Program’s primary component is an internship with a public or private organization relevant to their area of studies. Other components include completion of an academic course taught by a Washington Centre faculty member, Leadership Forum, and Civic Engagement Project.

European Union Study Tour and Internship Program

This program provides students with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the history, culture, politics and political institutions of the European Union. With the Program, students visit major institutions within the European Union, participating in seminars and presentations. Approved candidates will also be assigned unpaid internships in European cities.

University of Calgary – Exchange Programs

Study abroad while paying University of Calgary tuition rates and remaining eligible for University scholarships and student loans. The Exchange Program allows students to choose a full range of courses offered at partner institutions, which are recognized as transfer credit to your University of Calgary degree.
