POLITICAL SCIENCE MAJOR WINS BEST OVERALL AT THE FASA RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM

Tuesday, April 11, 2017 - 7:15am

Congratulations to Colby Georgsen, a political science major graduating this summer, who won the Best Overall category at this year's Faculty of Arts Student Association (FASA) Arts Research Symposium.

His research, based on a paper for Poli 471 entitled "Africa's Aversion to the International Criminal Court (ICC): Assessing Legal Intervention in the 21st Century," reaches beyond the rhetoric about the ICC's apparent unfair fixation on African situations and carefully explains why this asymmetry exists.

In the fall, Colby is off to Ottawa where he will begin a combined program: an MA in International Affairs at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (Carleton University) and a JD at the Common Law Section of the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa.
